Hey! How's it going? :)
I'm Thom, from the SF Bay Area, and I like to draw...
Third Rail Design Lab is a small-press/web publishing imprint featuring original content in two genres: the TRDL Universe [capes and tights, but no capes and tights] and Finit-e [a contemporary-ish web-based comic serial] as well as original commission art, an artshare and drawing jam forum, and more.
The TRDL Universe is a worldbuilding project involving original characters, concepts, and stories that comprise a self-contained universe, complete with a published timeline, all puresented under the Third Rail Design Lab banner. You can find over 200 original characters and counting on the TRDL site, updated every Friday! The story of the TRDL Universe can be pieced together through the origin stories of each character published, or by reading the TRDL Sourcebook volumes. TRDL Sourcebook 1.0 was 100-pages, full color, trade spine, and published in 2007. Sequential art anthology material is in development, but we have only four hands between us!
I do commission art for various clients, as well as host a weekly illustration jam on the TRDL site's message board, the R3 Forum (open to all artists!) So this is a small sampling of the several hundred pieces viewable on the TRDL site...
Finit-e is a graphic serial published on the TRDL site. An espionage thriller set in the nearly-now, it is published scene-by-scene and available for free via PDF or online viewer! See the TRDL site for latest pages.
You can keep up to date on the latest TRDL happenings by visiting the TRDL site, by subscribing to the RSS feed, via Twitter, Facebook, ComicSpace, MySpace, Tribe, and here!
