The Outcast Studios is proud to present:

Attached Image: Cover.png

Outcast Studios Minizine #1

Containing no less than 6 (six!) stories:
It can now be downloaded at outcaststudios.com/minizine/issue1.pdf. (This is a pdf file, meaning that you need a pdf viewer to see it. You can choose from many pdf viewers, such as Acrobat Reader (Windows, Mac, Linux), Foxit Reader (Windows), Preview (comes with Mac OSX) and many others.)

I hope you'll all enjoy reading it, and don't hesitate to drop a note here telling the authors what you think of their work. Thank you very much to all who contributed to this first issue!
Now that this first issue is out, we're getting started on the second. But for that, we need your help! If you feel like making a comic for the next issue, just send me a message. Any questions about contributing? You can ask them in the minizine F.A.Q..

Last Call: I'm really looking forward to seeing where this story is going to. It's a classic opener (done with great artwork)in the sense that it makes you curious what's next and that it can go in a lot of directions.
The Little Adventure of Mjargo and Aveline: love it that it's wordless. It has a poetic feel over it.
KillSwith: let's face it, Scott; KillSwitch is just such a cool character. Even with just one silhouetted appearance in this comic, she's setting a great tone.
Undercover: love your style, 000015ppm. It feels a bit like Herge meets Risso. A short story in just two pages with a punch line is really not simple, but you've succeeded magnificently.
John Macho in Operation: Mr. Tiddles: Just plain fun. A lot of exaggerated violence, brought to us in a very tongue in cheek style. Love the explosion at the end. (And the vile personality of Mr. Tiddles in contrast with John's attitude towards him.)

I havnt read it yet,

But this pisses me off greatly,
I install that Adobe Reader,
and without asknig me if I want it or not it installs two other programs on my PC.

I do not like that at all.
I do not want google chrome, I do not want mcafee virus scanner.

Anyways, just uninstalled the unwanted crap programs, and been reading the issue #1,

Cool stuff, very nice!

So... how do you get to be in issue number 2 or any of the following issues?

Make a comic and PM me so that we can iron out the details of getting the pages across and such. Simple as that. I'd love to see you making a comic. :D

Alright, but before I start on anything, there's several things I'd like to know,
I'll ask here, rather than in a PM so anyone else who has the wish can see the questions answered:

-How manypages can you take up in one issue?
-Is it possible to have a comic that lasts several issues?
-Does it have to be B/W or can we use color?
- What is the deadline till the next issue?

and I'm sure there'll be more questions, but these pop in my mind for now ;)

B&W for now. No more than 6 pages tops. Try for 4 if you can. Reason is because there are several part 2's coming on the next one so space is limited. Mind you... this so far is only digital and not printed so perhaps we could go more. I will speak with Yncke and Rob more on this. Your comic can be continued. And lastly... deadline... lets aim for December with print job in January i think. Again, more for us editor types to work out.

Certainly not me! ;) By all means: go for it. This minizine is for people on the Outcast Studios wanting to make comics.

I will tell you all this.... first come first serve for each issue. Once we have approximately 7-8 stories we will publish number 2 so get your stuff in. If you dont make the cut... there is always #3 right after it.

I hope to see more of you guys doing sequential stories like we have done here. It's awesome.

On another note... originally "mini zine" was part of its title as thats what it was going to be when printed. We have opted to go with digital only format so Im thinking an official magazine name might be in order.

Idea's people?

Yncke did an AWESOME job of sticking with this and putting it all together! :) Stories were really good reads. :) Great job EVERYONE! :)

It makes me want to go back to the full comic book project idea I'd proposed last year because it CAN energize a community...
