Well, Week Two of our new Figure Challenge went fairly well. Considering that this is going to be a slow but steady process, I am pleased at the turnout! To those who took the challenge last week: THANK YOU! You make this worthwhile for all of us.

Once again we are here with figure challenges, and hopefully more and more people are taking the time to draw what we have for the challenge. The goals of these challenges are simple: Improve Anatomy, foreshortening, perspective, and composition with each and every piece within a time limit of one week.

This week's challenge is a couple. As I stated in previous posts, we're going to get a bit more complex as time goes on.

Let me make something clear: If the challenge is in color, you do NOT have to make it a color submission. I realize that everyone has a knack at certain disciplines, and I can speak for myself that digital coloring is not available to me, so I just handle challenges in Black and White/Pencil.

The official start of this challenge is Monday May 9, 2011 at 12 pm PST for the states, and ends on the following Monday at the same time!

Good Luck and come out swinging gang!

Jim

Without further ado, here is our figure challenge:

Nice, DeadlesS!!! First poster for this week! You got the poses right and the core of it down.

That gesture drawing really captures the life of that pose. Are you going to go back with further shading?

Okay first attempt, just a rough outline. All I could squeeze in today.

I will come back and do more.

Like I have said before, Jeter... these challenges are meant to improve our anatomy, perspective, foreshortening, and composition. You've gotten off to a great start!

+1 for you!! --Jim

:D Thanks Jim ;)

I went and did some shading. Not to happy with this, kind of feeling lazy. But I truly am grateful for these challenges you started up again :D

Well Done, danny! If you choose to refine this, all I can say is to tighten it up. Jeter already gave you a REP point, so you still have time for another shot!

Thought I'd give this a shot. Drawing two interlocking heads was murder for some reason.

Well done Ping for a 20 minuter.

And I love the white accents you added Dmotym. +1 rep for the second go ;)
